About Trinity INtervention solutions

The Right Intervention, at the Right Time, for the Right Reason.

Supporting people with complex needs and behavioural challenges.

Richard Stephenson

Behaviour Support Trainer and Consultant

Having worked in Health and Social Care for 27 years, I wanted to use my passion and experience around behaviour support to train, advise and guide other organisations in supporting people with complex and behavioural challenges.

My experience began in 1996 when I supported people with learning challenges and complex behaviours. After 17 years of operational work, including directly supporting individuals, managing teams of people and a Care Management role I moved into Learning and Development for the next eight years. During this time I specialised in offering foundation and individualised intervention support and crisis management techniques across services. With a focus on the quality of care being provided, I then progressed to a Quality and Compliance Manager role. Working in various Health and Social Care departments has given me a broad perspective of operational needs, learning and development methods and regulatory requirements.

Safety, Situational Awareness and Attachments are the core values of Trinity Intervention Solutions and these are at the forefront of our thinking when considering intervening.

What drives Trinity intervention solutions?

Empowering organisations with Crisis Management expertise and Positive Behaviour Support initiatives

Why CHoose Trinity?

Improving quality of life through skill and knowledge acquisition

Increase Safe Practices: Increase Safe Practices around people being supported. Develop a culture of responding rather than reacting.  Increase staff/team support and morale.
Increase staff/team support and morale: Effective intervention consultancy can be perceived positively by staff and teams as an investment from managers for their welfare and wellbeing. It can impact positively on individual staff or team confidence in the approaches they are using. In turn, this positively impacts the individual being supported.
Reduce a high turnover of staff:  Introduce standard operating procedures to reduce a high turnover of staff.
Increase positive life experiences:  Encourage positive risk-taking rather than risk-averse practices to enable meaningful life experiences for people being supported.
Develop practices to improve Ofsted or CQC ratings:  Regulators will focus on how services can evidence they are working towards reducing restrictive practices. Reductions in staff turnover and increased morale within staff teams maximise the opportunities for individuals to experience positive and meaningful interactions. This, in turn, uplifts the level of service being provided to people being supported.
